Job summary

VTG is seeking a Solutions Architect at our Virginia Beach location to lead the design of end-to-end solutions for Defense and Intelligence proposals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate requirements, and guide the Business Development group through capture, proposal development, and cost estimation.

The role requires 15+ years in the Defense/Intelligence space, strong leadership, cloud migration and systems engineering expertise, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in the Defense and Intelligence community, with focus on business and proposal development.
• Proven expertise in Cloud migration, IT, Systems Engineering and Integration, and software development.
• Strong understanding of government RFP processes and experience in developing technical proposals for Defense and Intelligence contracts.
• Excellent knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies, data integration, and security requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting scalable and reliable solutions to complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving and strategic/analytical thinking, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into comprehensive technical solutions.

• Lead the development of technical proposals, including solution design, implementation approach, and cost estimation.

• Collaborate with operations and management to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the business development and innovation teams.

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in the Defense and Intelligence community, with a focus on business and proposal development.
• Proven expertise in areas such as Cloud migration, IT, Systems Engineering and Integration, and software development.
• Strong understanding of government RFP processes and experience in developing technical proposals for Defense and Intelligence contracts.

• Track record of Winning / High Scoring Technical Proposal Response.
• Strong leadership abilities and a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $58 - $80 per hour, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
