What You'll Do

We are looking for a technically skilled and driven Solutions Architect to join our Engineering team, with a focus on BaaS and AI initiatives. You will play a key role in helping our Fintech partners seamlessly integrate with our banking systems to power their financial products. You’ll also collaborate internally to explore and apply AI-driven solutions—particularly through Google’s Gemini AI platform—to streamline operations across the bank. This role is ideal for someone with a software engineering background who thrives in a dynamic, technology-forward, finance-oriented environment.

Partner-Facing Integration Support (BaaS)

• Serve as a technical point of contact and trusted advisor to Fintech partners, guiding them through integration with Grasshopper Bank’s BaaS APIs and systems.
• Act as a translator between external development teams and internal departments (Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, etc.) to ensure alignment on technical and business needs.
• Troubleshoot integration challenges, working across API specs (REST, JSON, Webhooks) and banking formats (e.g., NACHA, ISO 20022, x9) to help partners succeed.
  
  

AI Enablement & Internal Innovation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to incorporate AI into operational workflows using tools like Google Gemini.
• Assist in designing and implementing AI-driven solutions that automate routine tasks and improve internal efficiency.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Contribute to improving internal documentation, integration guides, and overall partner and developer experience.
  
  

What You Need

• 5+ years in a technical role—such as software development, systems integration, or technical consulting.
• Strong understanding of API concepts (REST, JSON, Webhooks) and experience working with APIs to consume or deliver services.
• Familiarity with banking processes, payments (ACH, wires, cards), and financial compliance—or a strong willingness to learn.
• Exposure to or strong interest in AI/ML concepts, with experience applying AI tools (e.g., LLMs, NLP, or automation frameworks) to solve practical problems.
• Proficiency with data analysis and SQL for troubleshooting and support.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical and business topics to varied audiences.
• A proactive mindset and comfort diving into documentation and unfamiliar systems to find answers.
• Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and technologies like Kubernetes or Cloud Functions is a plus.
