Job Summary

This pre-sales position involves working with Gluware and our customers to address enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate will have pre-sales, programming, and network expertise, and enjoy working with new technology in a fast-paced environment to solve customer automation challenges. Daily interactions will be with customer network engineering and operations teams. The role reports to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery.

Sales experience is essential; this is not a software development role.

This role is part of the Gluware sales team, with sales commissions in addition to the base salary. The On Target Earnings are $240,000 annually.

We have multiple openings for this remote position, with travel required to visit potential customers. Candidates in New York, Boston, or Philadelphia are preferred.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Gluware Sales team to achieve technical wins in complex network automation sales campaigns.
  • Design solutions to customer challenges using the Gluware platform integrated with third-party solutions such as ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform product demonstrations for Gluware customers and partners.
  • Lead proof of concept (PoC) engagements with prospects.
  • Deliver custom automations to PoC prospects and existing customers.
  • Create and deliver targeted technical sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Service Delivery, Sales, and Support teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Work with Solutions Architect peers to resolve unique customer challenges.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in network, cloud, and competitive technologies.
  • Act as a trusted automation advisor to customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise network architectures, products, and configurations, including cloud, data center, SD-WAN, and other network technologies.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing pre-sales experience.
  • Expertise in CLI configurations, regular expressions, and scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API integrations.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration.
  • Knowledge of public and hybrid cloud platforms such as AWS, MS Azure, and GCP.
  • Understanding of virtualization and container solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven problem solver, eager to grow with the company.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent.

Travel

  • Up to 30% travel required.
