Job summary

SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our Gulf Coast Operation in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role emphasizes transforming mission requirements into secure, scalable architectures across cloud services and enterprise systems.

You will lead technical design decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to proposals and accreditation efforts while ensuring reliability and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading solution architectures for cloud-based systems.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern development practices.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate endtoend solution architectures spanning cloud services, enterprise apps, data pipelines, and software systems.

• Provide technical leadership on design decisions, DevSecOps, and system integration.
• Ensure architectures meet reliability, security, scalability, and compliance goals.

• Support proposals, technical strategy, and capture activities for new opportunities.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations throughout design and delivery.
• Assist with system accreditation (ATO) support as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Solutions Architect

• Develop and communicate endtoend solution architectures spanning cloud services, enterprise applications, data pipelines, and software systems.
• Partner directly with customers, PMs, CORs, and engineering teams to translate mission requirements into actionable designs.
• Serve as a technical lead, advising engineering teams on design decisions, best practices, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cybersecurity, and system integration.
• Ensure solution architectures meet reliability, security, scalability, and compliance goals.
• Create highquality architecture documentation, diagrams, whitepapers, and briefings.
• Support proposal development, technical strategy, and capture activities for new opportunities.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies throughout design and delivery phases.
• Assist with system accreditation (ATO) support as required.

Minimum Qualifications of Solutions Architect

Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field of study and 5+ years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Architect, or comparable technical leadership role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work with crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
• Strong problem-solving and systemsthinking skills.
