Job summary

SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Solutions Architect to support the Gulf Coast Operation in Fort Walton Beach, FL. You will develop end‑to‑end architectures across cloud services, applications, and data pipelines, working with customers, PMs, CORs, and engineers to translate mission needs into designs.

You will lead technical decisions, ensure security and scalability, and produce architecture documents. The role requires an active clearance and citizenship, with 10% travel and a competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate end‑to‑end solution architectures spanning cloud services, enterprise applications, data pipelines, and software systems.
• Partner directly with customers, PMs, CORs, and engineering teams to translate mission requirements into actionable designs.
• Serve as a technical lead, advising engineering teams on design decisions, best practices, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cybersecurity, and system integration.
• Ensure solution architectures meet reliability, security, scalability, and compliance goals.
• Create high‑quality architecture documentation, diagrams, whitepapers, and briefings.
• Support proposal development, technical strategy, and capture activities for new opportunities.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies throughout design and delivery phases.
• Assist with system accreditation (ATO) support as required.

Minimum Qualifications of Solutions Architect

Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field of study and 5+ years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Architect, or comparable technical leadership role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
• Strong problem-solving and systems‑thinking skills.
