Lightedge is seeking a customer-focused Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers. In this role, you'll partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and customers to translate business objectives into secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has experience designing cloud solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, understands VMware environments and cloud migration strategies, and enjoys helping customers modernize their infrastructure. Candidates with strong infrastructure experience who are eager to expand their cloud architecture expertise are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions that align with customer business and technical requirements.
• Partner with Account Executives throughout the pre‑sales cycle to develop solution strategies and communicate technical value.
• Lead customer discovery sessions, architecture workshops, technical presentations, and proof‑of‑concept activities.
• Develop migration strategies for VMware and on‑premises workloads moving to AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with LightEdge service offerings.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reusable reference architectures.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architectural standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current on AWS, Azure, cloud modernization strategies, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, or a similar customer‑facing technical role.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred or required, with Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification considered a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure services, architecture best practices, and cloud‑native design principles.
• Experience with VMware virtualization, infrastructure modernization, and cloud migration planning.
• Familiarity with the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) is highly desirable.
• Experience with Azure migration and modernization programs is a plus.
• Working knowledge of networking, storage, identity and access management (IAM/Microsoft Entra ID), security, backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales opportunities and presenting technical solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Experience with technologies such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, backup and recovery platforms, or managed services is a plus.
• Candidates with strong infrastructure architecture experience who demonstrate a commitment to developing AWS and Azure cloud architecture expertise will also be considered.
