Job summary

Elsevier seeks a Solutions Account Manager for Research Intelligence to partner with universities and transform research workflows using AI-powered solutions. You will own long-term partnerships and drive adoption of Elsevier’s research intelligence tools across academic libraries, research offices, and leadership teams.

Territory includes MI, IA, MN, WI with preference for residence in one of the states. The role emphasizes strategic account leadership, data-driven insights, and collaboration

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex accounts and achieving revenue targets in a consultative sales environment.
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior academic, research, or institutional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data, analytics, or technology-enabled solutions, with curiosity about AI in research.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable account plans.
  • Comfort working with CRM and forecasting tools to manage opportunities and performance.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

About The Role

As a Solutions Account Manager for Research Intelligence at Elsevier, you will work with academic institutions to transform research workflows through AI‑powered solutions. This role combines strategic account leadership with consultative selling, enabling customers to accelerate discovery, improve decision‑making, and advance their research missions. You will own meaningful, long‑term partnerships that put Elsevier’s research intelligence tools at the center of institutional strategy.

Territory: MI, IA, MN, WI. Residence in one of the respective states is preferred but not required.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $81,400 - $151,100. Total Target Cash Range: $125,300 - $232,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter.
