Job summary

WellSky Corporation is seeking a Solution Engineer III to bridge the gap between our solution offerings and client needs. You will collaborate with sales, solution development, and implementation teams to understand requirements and demonstrate the value of WellSky solutions.

You will lead discovery sessions, architect custom, scalable solutions, and perform thorough debugging. Strong HL7, SQL, and API skills, plus healthcare IT experience, are essential for success in this role within our team.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting HL7 interfaces.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience architecting custom interfaces or integrations per technical/vendor specs.
• Healthcare IT experience, ideally in healthcare integrations or clinical data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance custom solutions using appropriate tools and modalities.

• Communicate feasibility and scope with clients and provide tailored explanations.

Job description

The Solution Engineer III is responsible for bridging the technical gap between our solution offerings and the needs of our clients. The scope of this job includes collaboration with sales, solution development, and implementation teams to understand client requirements, propose technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of WellSky solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with project managers to recommend, plan, and execute development implementation tasks in alignment with client objectives and develop recommendations for mitigating project risks.
• Facilate discovery sessions to gather and write requirements and assess feasibility of the custom solution.
• Architect custom solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and performance by leveraging expertise in development tools and technical modalities.
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis for custom solution issues, including documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in at least one solution application by utilizing multiple functionalities, tools, and modalities for effective customization.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding the feasibility of requests by providing tailored explanations and ensuring scope adherence.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 4-6 years relevant work experience
• Strong experience configuring, implementing, and supporting HL7 interfaces using integration protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP and APIs
• Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience architecting custom interfaces or integrations based on technical and vendor specifications
• Healthcare IT experience, preferably supporting healthcare integrations, interoperability, or clinical data exchange

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and related file-transfer processes
• Exposure to or experience with IBM RPG

Job Expectations:

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
• Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
• Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
