First Point Group is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Support Engineer to lead pre-sales and solution development for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI data center opportunities. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Support Engineer to support strategic data center opportunities across global markets. This role will serve as a key technical partner to Key Account Managers (KAMs), providing pre-sales technical leadership and solution consulting for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI data center customers.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data center cooling infrastructure, thermal management systems, liquid cooling technologies, and mission-critical facility design. This individual will play a critical role in driving customer engagement, solution development, bid support, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical pre-sales support for strategic data center customers and major projects worldwide.
  • Partner closely with Key Account Managers to develop and advance key customer opportunities across targeted industries and accounts.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into competitive solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and solution discussions with customer engineering and operations teams.
Solution Development & System Design
  • Support solution architecture, product selection, system configuration, and technical proposal development.
  • Provide technical guidance for primary-side and secondary-side cooling infrastructure, including:
  • Air-cooled cooling solutions
  • Fan wall systems
  • Precision Cooling (CRAC/CRAH)
  • High-density AI and HPC cooling applications
  • Develop optimized thermal management solutions that align with customer requirements for performance, efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Bid & Project Support
  • Prepare technical proposals, bid responses, tender documentation, and technical compliance matrices.
  • Support customer RFIs, RFPs, and technical clarification processes.
  • Interface with consultants, EPC firms, design institutes, engineering partners, and customer stakeholders throughout project development.
  • Participate in customer design reviews and solution validation activities.
Technical Consulting
  • Understand customer requirements related to:
  • Availability and redundancy architecture (N, N+1, 2N)
  • Energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Air cooling and liquid cooling strategies
  • Reliability and operational resilience
  • Develop customer-focused solutions that balance technical performance, business objectives, and lifecycle value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Delivery, and Service teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support the seamless transition from pre-sales engagement to project delivery and commissioning.
  • Contribute technical expertise to roadmap discussions and future product development.
  • Develop standardized solution templates, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain technical case studies and application guidelines.
  • Track market trends, competitor technologies, and emerging developments in data center cooling and AI infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the data center industry, including solution engineering, technical support, system design, consulting, or project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical data center infrastructure and cooling technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex data center projects from concept through implementation.
  • Solid knowledge of international data center standards and best practices, including:
  • TIA-942
  • ASHRAE data center thermal guidelines
  • Relevant industry codes and standards
  • Proven ability to develop technical proposals and support large-scale customer engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, cloud, AI, or enterprise data center projects.
  • Deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies, CDU systems, high-density computing environments, and advanced thermal management solutions.
  • Understanding of the interaction between cooling infrastructure, IT loads, electrical systems, building management systems, and facility operations.
  • Experience with modular data center solutions and sustainability-focused technologies.
  • Familiarity with EPC workflows, consulting engineering firms, and large-scale infrastructure deployment projects.
  • International project experience is highly preferred.
