About the role:

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of a scalable, secure, and integrated technical solution for the client’s Website Modernization Project. This includes the architecture of public/internal websites, CMS platforms, supporting applications, and the Website DataMart.

Location: Remote

Project Duration: 2.5 years, with potential for extension

What you'll do:

• Design and implement effective web and database solutions, strategies, and models to store and retrieve data from different client data stores

• Monitor and identify appropriate information flows, equipment, tools and systems to achieve all project goals

• Design and implement data strategies incorporating different patterns and technologies

• Ensure scalability, security, and extensibility across CMS, applications, and data layers

• Collaborate with client teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and align technical strategy with business needs

• Evaluate and select tools and platforms that align with the DIIT technology stack

• Ensure adherence to client security standards and accessibility compliance requirements

• Support the development and integration of enterprise-level GIS, search, and multilingual capabilities

What you'll need:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience on large scale development and migration projects

• Technologies: SQL Server, .NET, Angular, Microsoft Cloud Technologies

• Proven experience leading complex CMS or application modernization projects

• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, microservices, and modern DevOps practices

• Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), data security, and performance optimization best practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience working with New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) or other municipal agencies is a plus
