Job description

We're looking for a Salesforce Life Sciences Solution Architect to own the Life Sciences Cloud product line for a regulated life sciences client. This is a hybrid role: part strategic backlog owner, part hands-on administrator, part release manager. You'll sit close to executive stakeholders to shape the roadmap, while staying hands-on enough in the org to configure, troubleshoot, and ship. The right person must have prior Salesforce delivery experience; this is not an entry-level role, but one for someone who already knows how the platform behaves under real usage.

Role Responsibilities
  • Roadmap & Backlog Strategy
    • Own the Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud roadmap, including change management, training requirements, and communication plans
    • Prioritize the product backlog, balancing tactical fixes against strategic, multi-vertical goals with executive stakeholders
    • Write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria; disambiguating requirements directly with business stakeholders
    • Sign off on acceptance criteria and accept/reject delivered stories, with the authority to make requirement decisions without escalating every call
  • Hands-On Salesforce Administration
    • Object and field administration; custom field creation, page layouts, record types, and org configuration
    • Build reports and dashboards for business and executive stakeholder consumption
    • Resolve internal change requests and user incidents for employees across business units
    • Maintain data integrity; recognize systems of record and coordinate with the relevant product management teams
  • Release & Delivery Management
    • Manage release management end-to-end, documenting and communicating releases across all verticals
    • Run and contribute to core Agile ceremonies: daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
    • Partner with technical and functional delivery teams; on backlog grooming and release planning
    • Surface and help remove delivery roadblocks; giving timely feedback on work-in-progress
  • Stakeholder Enablement & Adoption
    • Act as the primary bridge between the delivery team and business stakeholders; facilitating communication and mediating on requirements
    • Run end-user training and new hire orientation sessions; to drive adoption across business units
    • Maintain Salesforce documentation; in collaboration with technical and functional teams
    • Identify opportunities for continuous team and process improvement
Experience/Skills Required
  • 5-7 years of Salesforce delivery experience
  • Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud certification and implementation experience
  • Technical Background / Degree Program preferred
  • Minimum of an active Salesforce Administrator or other Salesforce certification required
  • Able to discuss experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to discuss the benefits of a Software as a Service (SaaS) model
  • Basic Knowledge of implementation and configuration of enterprise systems such as CRM or ERP
  • Ability to learn quickly and think creatively
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
  • Travels with client or project team as needed
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
  • Travels with client or project team as needed
