Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Solution Architect for our Milwaukee, WI configuration platform. You will translate business needs into architecture solutions, define technical standards, and guide teams to secure, scalable, and cost-effective outcomes.

The role bridges business requirements and technology capabilities across multiple stakeholders. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in architecture, a CS/MIS degree, and proven cloud, security and enterprise-scale design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required; visa sponsorship will not be provided.
• Typically requires 8+ years of relevant architectural experience.
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions and strategic technology plans.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate requirements into technological solutions.
• Deep understanding of software development, cloud computing (AI, AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and security.
• Problem-solving to evaluate complex scenarios and determine the best technical approach.
• Develop guidelines to ensure a robust architectural framework across the team.
• Introduce and accelerate new technologies and methodologies to support digital transformation.
• Work with multiple partners and influence project decisions.
• Provide cross-product/cross-technology expertise to capability teams.
• Support the design and modeling of tactical architectures and reference architectures.
• Contribute to and evaluate solution design during release planning.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
