The Solution Architect – Enterprise & Infrastructure Managed Services is responsible for designing, developing, and presenting innovative managed services solutions that align with client business and technical requirements. This role serves as the technical lead throughout the sales lifecycle, with primary ownership of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
Working closely with Sales, Service Delivery, Operations, Engineering, and Executive Leadership, the Solution Architect translates customer requirements into scalable, commercially viable managed service solutions covering infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, workplace services, and IT operations.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to develop compelling proposals that differentiate the organization in competitive pursuits.
Responsibilities:
- Proposal & RFP Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Own the end-to-end response process for enterprise managed services RFPs.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional SMEs to gather technical, operational, pricing, security, and compliance responses.
- Develop compelling, accurate, and customer-focused technical proposals.
- Ensure responses are complete, compliant, and submitted within required timelines.
- Maintain proposal quality standards, consistency, and messaging across all submissions.
- Build and maintain reusable proposal content, response libraries, and technical artifacts.
- Identify proposal risks, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Participate in proposal review meetings and executive “go/no-go” decisions.
Solution Architecture
- Design enterprise managed service solutions for complex IT environments.
- Develop scalable operating models supporting enterprise infrastructure and managed services.

- Produce high-level architecture diagrams, service descriptions, transition plans, and implementation strategies.
- Ensure solutions align with ITIL best practices and operational delivery models.
Sales Support
- Partner with Account Executives during opportunity qualification.
- Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, and technical presentations.
- Present proposed solutions to customer stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Provide technical leadership during customer Q&A sessions.
- Support contract negotiations by explaining solution scope and technical assumptions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
- 3+ years in Solution Architecture or Pre-Sales Engineering.
- Experience supporting managed service providers (MSP) or systems integrators.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise RFP responses
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and managed service delivery.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on the computer.
