Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY:
  • We are looking for a Solution Architect to lead complex ERP opportunities from discovery through solution definition and transition to delivery
  • This is more than a traditional presales role. You will be a strategic partner to both the customer and our Sales team—leading discovery, shaping the transformation vision, defining future-state architecture, and communicating the business value of the proposed solution
  • You will work directly with senior IT and business leaders and help guide decisions involving significant technology investments, organizational change, risk, and business outcomes
  • Sales owns the commercial process and pipeline. You own the solution, architectural integrity, and customer confidence
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead Strategic Discovery
  • Lead executive workshops, discovery sessions, and process deep dives
  • Understand business objectives, operational challenges, technology constraints, and transformation readiness
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and the factors that will drive the customer's decision
  • Build trusted relationships with IT, business, and executive stakeholders
Define the Solution and Transformation Roadmap
  • Develop future-state solution architecture and modernization roadmaps
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and evaluate platform and technology alignment
  • Define implementation approach, sequencing, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business and executive-level recommendations
Drive Opportunity Success
  • Partner closely with Sales to develop account and opportunity strategies
  • Shape proposals, solution narratives, presentations, and executive discussions
  • Present recommendations to C-suite and senior leadership audiences
  • Help customers establish clear decision criteria and evaluation frameworks
  • Position our company as a trusted transformation and governance partner—not simply a technology provider
Protect Delivery and Commercial Integrity
  • Validate that proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and aligned with delivery capabilities
  • Identify scope, architectural, and implementation risks before they become delivery issues
  • Ensure solution decisions support healthy margins and sustainable customer outcomes
  • Lead a structured transition from sales to delivery and maintain continuity through project kickoff
What Makes This Role Different
  • Architect-led selling: You are a key leader in complex ERP opportunities, not simply a technical resource supporting Sales
  • Executive engagement: You will work directly with CIOs, CFOs, COOs, IT leaders, and business executives
  • Commercial impact: Your decisions influence revenue, win rates, scope, and gross margin
  • End-to-end ownership: You help shape the opportunity and stay connected through the transition to delivery
  • Business transformation focus: You will think beyond individual modules and technologies to solve broader business problems
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Required Experience:
  • At least 8+ years of experience in ERP architecture, consulting, solution architecture, or business transformation
  • Deep experience with at least one major ERP ecosystem, such as JD Edwards, IFS, Oracle, SAP, or similar
  • Proven experience leading discovery workshops and executive-level presentations
  • Experience shaping complex, multi-phase ERP upgrades, implementations, or cloud migrations
  • Strong understanding of implementation risk, architecture, governance, and delivery considerations
  • Experience working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You are someone who:
  • Has strong executive presence and consultative credibility
  • Can lead a C-suite conversation as comfortably as a technical architecture discussion
  • Balances technical rigor with practical business judgment
  • Understands the commercial impact of scope, architecture, risk, and delivery decisions
  • Thinks in business outcomes, roadmaps, and transformation—not just modules and features
  • Can simplify complex problems and create clarity for decision-makers
  • Is comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and influencing without relying on authority
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with Sales, Delivery, and customers to solve difficult problems
WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
  • Play a central role in a differentiated, architect-led go-to-market model
  • Work directly with senior executives on high-impact transformation initiatives
  • Influence both revenue and delivery outcomes
  • Help shape how a growing organization approaches ERP modernization
  • Work in a culture that values expertise, accountability, and customer outcomes over sales volume
  • Solve complex business and technology challenges where your experience genuinely matters

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including minorities and persons with disabilities.
