Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to lead a large-scale modernization initiative for a mission-critical procurement and business operations platform. You will design scalable cloud-first architectures and align them with business goals, partnering with product, security, data, and engineering teams to drive a digital transformation.

You will translate requirements into technical designs, guide cloud modernization, and ensure secure-by-design principles

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or enterprise architecture
• 5+ years as Technical Solution Architect or similar
• Experience leading architecture for large enterprise software or digital transformations
• Enterprise solutions across applications, APIs, cloud, data, security, analytics
• Cloud-based enterprise apps and SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, IAM, enterprise integration, microservices
• Experience with data migration mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation
• Secure-by-design architecture principles
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development tools
• Excellent communication to translate complex concepts

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for a large enterprise modernization initiative
• Design scalable application, integration, cloud, and data architectures
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation strategies
• Partner with engineering teams, product owners, UX, security, and infrastructure
• Design API strategies, enterprise integrations, and system interoperability
• Guide cloud architecture decisions and platform modernization efforts
• Support enterprise data migration initiatives including mapping, transformation, validation, and governance
• Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and quality standards are incorporated into architecture decisions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity
• Produce architecture documentation, roadmaps, ADRs
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and implementation partners
• Present technical recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders

An enterprise organization is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on transforming a mission-critical procurement and business operations platform. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing the future architecture of a highly visible enterprise system that serves thousands of internal and external users.

You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, security teams, data architects, and third-party vendors to build scalable, cloud-first solutions while helping drive a long-term digital transformation strategy.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing enterprise architecture with hands-on technical leadership and influencing technology decisions across complex business initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead solution architecture for a large enterprise modernization initiative
• Design scalable application, integration, cloud, and data architectures

• Partner with engineering teams, product owners, UX, security, and infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Design API strategies, enterprise integrations, and system interoperability solutions
• Guide cloud architecture decisions and platform modernization efforts
• Support enterprise data migration initiatives including mapping, transformation, validation, and governance
• Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and quality standards are incorporated into architecture decisions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering productivity
• Produce architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and architecture decision records (ADRs)
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and implementation partners
• Present technical recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise systems, IT delivery, or technology architecture
• 5+ years serving as a Technical Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Software Architect, Engineering Lead, or similar architecture-focused role
• Experience leading architecture decisions for large enterprise software implementations or digital transformation programs
• Strong background designing enterprise solutions across:
  • Applications
  • APIs & integrations
  • Cloud platforms
  • Data platforms
  • Security architecture
  • Reporting & analytics
• Experience designing cloud-based enterprise applications and modern SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of:

• Experience integrating modern cloud platforms with legacy enterprise applications

• Familiarity with Agile software development, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps best practices

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and business audiences

• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments
• Experience supporting ERP, procurement, financial systems, workflow automation, or other enterprise platforms
• Experience leading cloud migration or legacy modernization initiatives
• Knowledge of data governance, reporting, business intelligence, and analytics platforms
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, accessibility standards (WCAG), and privacy controls
• Experience planning production deployments, phased releases, operational readiness, and enterprise-scale implementations
