Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise/application architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring, microservices, API design and system integration.
• Cloud-native architecture experience, preferably AWS.
• Experience with containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence across teams.
• Proven ability to design solutions with downstream impacts across multiple apps and systems.
• Experience operating in large enterprises with modernization and integration focus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with application teams to design scalable, secure solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews and guide teams through approvals.
• Ensure solution alignment with enterprise standards and capabilities.
• Serve as a liaison between development teams, business stakeholders and leadership.
• Review modernization initiatives, including WebSphere to OpenShift transitions.
• Provide technical insights to support decision-making and design validation.
• Lead design reviews, develop architecture patterns, ensure performance and security.
• Mentor junior team members on architectural best practices.

Job description

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Solution Architect to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This is a Hybrid, Contract To Hire position.

SALARY: $75-$85hr(depending on experience)

• 10+ years of enterprise/application architecture experience

• Strong communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and validate modernization initiatives, including transitioning from WebSphere to OpenShift

• Lead design reviews, develop architecture patterns, and ensure solution performance, security, and maintainability
• Mentor junior team members on architectural best practices
