Job summary

Crossing Hurdles seeks a skilled CAD engineer to develop fully-parametric 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies from written briefs. You will refine designs and maintain complete documentation for each revision.

You will audit models for dimensional accuracy and manufacturability, applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 across several processes. Strong communication ensures alignment with project coordinators and collaborators.

Qualifications

• Experience with parametric CAD in SolidWorks, FreeCAD, Fusion 360, or Inventor.
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5 in real manufacturing contexts.
• Experience supporting multiple manufacturing methods: injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, or casting/forging.
• Currently active in mechanical/industrial CAD modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clear project documentation.

Requirements

• Track record in supporting at least two or more manufacturing methods: injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, or casting/forging.
• Current, active involvement in mechanical/industrial CAD modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on clear, concise project documentation.
