Job summary

Axiom Custom Products is seeking a Drafter to join our Engineering team in Portland, Oregon. The Drafter will turn concepts and assemblies into accurate SolidWorks models and production-ready drawings, working under Design Engineers and coordinating with Engineering, project management, and shop staff.

Ideal candidates have hands-on cabinet/fabrication experience and basic SolidWorks background, with strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on build experience in cabinets, fabrication, woodworking, welding, CNC or similar shop environment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Some SolidWorks background with interest to develop further.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed fabrication drawings from 3D models.
• Create assembly drawings and bills of materials.
• Apply drawing and naming standards consistently across projects.
• Make revisions as projects evolve and keep drawings current.
• Support projects from quoting through production with cross-functional teams.
• Save out DXF files for production.
• Create templates/jigs for production.
• Create install directives and prototype models.
