Job summary

Axiom Custom Products in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Drafter to join the Engineering team. You will turn concepts into production‑ready drawings, building on SolidWorks models and collaborating with Design Engineers to produce accurate assemblies and fabrication documents.

Qualifications

• Hands-on build experience in cabinets, fabrication, woodworking, welding, CNC or comparable shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• SolidWorks background or ongoing development in SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate SolidWorks models and drawings from engineering concepts.
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Apply drawing standards consistently across projects.
• Revise drawings as projects evolve to stay current.
• Support projects from quoting through production with cross‑department coordination.
• Save DXF files for production and create templates/jigs for fabrication.
• Prepare install directives and prototype models as needed.
• Communicate clearly with team and complete work timely.
