Job summary

8 Harris Rochester, Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a CAD Operator/SolidWorks Designer to operate CAD systems (primarily SolidWorks) and develop drawings for equipment, sheet metal, and piping.

You will interpret sketches, specify and purchase materials, and review work with your supervisor to ensure accuracy. The role demands 2+ years of SolidWorks experience in manufacturing, and ideally conveyors design; AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Job Description

The purpose of your role as a CAD Operator As a SolidWorks Designer you will operate all computer aided design (CAD) systems and peripheral equipment, including using SolidWorks. Exercises considerable skill in the use of graphics commands and preprogrammed material to develop drawings for equipment, sheet metal, and piping. Create quick actions utilizing the command language of the system to assist in drawing creation. Specify and purchase materials for projects Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques. Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, and learns how to use all software options Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings Apply judgment and makes decisions with respect to drawings and input interpretation Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from supervisor

Pay Range: $23.07 - $34.60 The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
