Job summary

Ultralife Corporation designs and manufactures advanced power, electronics systems for defense, government, medical, energy, and industrial markets, with operations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. A hands-on mechanical design engineer will open SolidWorks assemblies, refine prototypes, collaborate with engineering to review tooling concepts, and push BOMs to ERP via PDM.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and familiarity with ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with GD&T and datum strategies.
• Experience with plastic molding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain 2D/3D models and drawings in SolidWorks with PDM control.
• Collaborate with Development and Manufacturing Engineers to develop manufacturable designs and tooling prints.
• Apply ASME Y14 standards and GD&T across all documentation.
• Select features and tolerances considering plastic molding when applicable.
• Review drawings and mentor co-ops on best practices.
