Job summary

Webster Combustion, located in Winfield, Kansas, is seeking a CAD Operator to perform design and drafting tasks for our manufacturing facility under the Engineering Manager. You will originate and update drawings, prepare installation and piping diagrams, and support equipment design.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting/CAD Design, strong SolidWorks skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting/ CAD Design.
• Proficient with SolidWorks software platform.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, piping diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if necessary
• Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment and manufactured items
• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation in accordance with the document retention policies set by the Engineering Manager.
• Other duties as required relating to CAD database.
