Job summary

Position Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Contract CAD Drafter / PDM Support specialist to join our engineering team. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our Product Data Management (PDM) software implementation and the migration of legacy CAD data into SolidWorks. You will focus on executing precise redraws, enforcing rigorous drawing and file standards, and ensuring our CAD data is perfectly structured to meet corporate retention requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Execute Precision Redraws: Convert legacy Fuel Injector components and assemblies from STEP-based geometry into native SolidWorks models, generating updated production-level drawings.
• Drive PDM Implementation: Prepare CAD data for migration by standardizing file naming conventions, aligning revision levels, and verifying drawing completeness.
• Enforce Data Standards: Review and edit engineer-generated drawings to ensure strict compliance with standardized formats and revision practices.
• Support Engineering Changes: Implement approved drawing and model changes to support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ensure seamless release readiness.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3 to 5 years of CAD drafting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with high proficiency in both SolidWorks and CREO (parts, assemblies, and drawings).
• Experience working with engineering drawings, BOMs, revision control, and change management processes.
• Strong consistency and the ability to handle high-volume drafting tasks while strictly following and enforcing data standards.
