Job summary

Dassault Systèmes is seeking a Software Engineer for SOLIDWORKS API Support to join the API Support group within R&D. You will work with customers, partners, and resellers to develop solutions using SOLIDWORKS APIs and to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve API-related issues.

You will help improve API capabilities through debugging, documentation, testing, and collaboration with internal teams, shaping future API functionality and developer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3–6 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong programming knowledge with C++.
• Working knowledge of MFC and COM technologies.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, or software applications.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with CAD/SOLIDWORKS is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to partners, resellers, and customers developing solutions using SOLIDWORKS APIs.
• Troubleshoot and debug SOLIDWORKS and partner-developed source code to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
• Investigate reported software problems and document findings for internal teams to reproduce.
• Validate software fixes to ensure problems are resolved without causing new issues.
• Document technical solutions and best practices for the SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for API enhancements.
• Develop specifications for API enhancements with key stakeholders.
• Create and execute test plans for new API functionality.
• Develop sample applications and code examples demonstrating API usage.
• Review online Help and documentation for SOLIDWORKS APIs.
• Collaborate within the software development team to meet milestones.
