Job summary

City of Surprise is seeking incumbents to perform semi-skilled activities in the Solid Waste Division. You will operate equipment from loaders to forklifts and assist in providing solid waste collection services.

You will educate customers and help ensure compliance for residential and commercial routes, with a focus on safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of full-time sanitation, heavy truck, or construction equipment experience required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED, and one year of full-time sanitation, heavy truck, and/or construction equipment operations experience, or closely related work. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or higher.
