Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Cancer Center Nurse Clinician to join our oncology team.

You will oversee the cancer patient and their family from initial consultation through the treatment continuum, in collaboration with the medical oncologist, collaborating APN and the entire healthcare team. Required are a Bachelor's degree and an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, with a NJ RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing is required.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee oncology patients and their families from initial consultation through treatment continuum.
• Collaborate with medical oncologist, APN and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Provide education, support and clinical care throughout the cancer care pathway.

The Cancer Center Nurse Clinician, in collaboration with the medical oncologist, collaborating APN and the entire healthcare team, oversees and supports the oncology patient and their significant other(s). This care is begun during initial consultation and continues throughout the treatment continuum.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor`s degree.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
• Minimum of 2 or more years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Master`s degree.
• 2 years of experience working in an oncology setting.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Certification in area of specialty.
