Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to support solid rocket motor production at our Midland, TX facility. You will work with engineering teams to execute technical builds, advance manufacturing processes, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

The role requires 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience, familiarity with drawings and blueprints, and the ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Experience building complex highly energetic aerospace components.
• Reading drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient with manufacturing metrology and quality assurance tools and processes.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a remote environment with limited support.

Responsibilities

• Work with highly volatile energetic precursor chemicals used in solid rocket motor manufacturing.
• Carefully batch and mix precursor chemicals.
• Create and record testing and quality control measurements to ensure production quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to transform concepts into reality.
• Monitor work progress against standards and deliver on schedule.
• Examine and interpret drawings and regulated documentation and procedures.
• Understand and execute complex engineering diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Verify flight hardware and document outcomes.
• Aid in developing manufacturing processes for initial production runs.
• Contribute to projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
