Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a Psychological Health Coordinator to support the Florida Army National Guard. The role focuses on promoting psychological health, resilience, and medical readiness through non-clinical case management, outreach, and resource coordination with military and civilian partners.

The ideal candidate has a master's in a behavioral science field, Florida licensure, and at least two years of clinical experience, with strong communication skills and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an applied field of the social/behavioral sciences (e.g., mental health counseling, social work).
• Minimum of two years’ experience applying clinical mental health principles.
• Current license in good standing in Florida.
• Experience/knowledge of military culture.
• Knowledge of common behavioral health assessment tools.
• Excellent customer service and ability to interact with diverse clientele.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint.
• Preferred: knowledge of IMR and deployment policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical case management and care coordination for Soldiers with behavioral health concerns.
• Coordinate referrals to military, VA, TRICARE, and community resources.
• Conduct outreach and follow-up to ensure continuity of care and treatment compliance.
• Collaborate with commanders, medical staff, chaplains, and external providers to address behavioral health needs affecting readiness.
• Deliver briefings and trainings on resilience, stress management, and psychological health.
• Support readiness initiatives and identify trends impacting Soldier performance.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and program metrics.
• Participate in critical incident response and crisis resource coordination.
• Promote awareness of psychological health programs and encourage help-seeking behaviors.
• Travel statewide across Florida to support FLARNG units and activities.
