Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in San Diego is seeking Soldering Technicians/Cable Assembly to start immediately with local companies in Clairemont Mesa. The role involves hand-soldering, labeling, wire cutting, and assembling PCB modules to IPC standards, with attention to quality and safety.

You will read production orders, follow kits and drawings, use a soldering iron, and work both independently and with a team. Mon-Fri, 1st shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with OT potential.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders and production docs to perform duties.
• Labeling, wire cutting, stuffing, crimping, bag and tag, soldering and testing.
• Uses hand tools including pliers, cutters, and soldering iron.
• IPC 610/620 knowledge; J-STD-001 cert preferred.
• Attention to detail; read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Follow production documentation and sample assemblies.
• Perform hand-soldering and component replacement on PCB assemblies.
• Label, wire cut, stuff, crimp, bag and tag as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Operate tools safely and efficiently.

Job description

Express is looking forSoldering Technicians/Cable Assemblyto start immediately with companies in the area of Clairemont Mesa. We are looking for an energetic team member to ensure the accurate and timely production and delivery of products. Perform hand-soldering operations using soldering irons, heat guns, and other devices to remove and replace components from PCB assemblies in accordance with company and industry standards.

Pay Rate: $22 – $25/hour depending on experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st shift available - 7 am - 3:30 pm plus OT

Soldering/AssemblyHighlights:

• Reads work orders, follows production documentation and/or sample assemblies, and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Performs the following tasks: labeling, wire cutting, stuffing, crimping, bag and tag, soldering, potting, IDC, SCSI, heat shrink, pc board soldering, back shelling, harnessing, harness board construction, box builds, kitting, create wire lists, "special projects", continuity testing, and pin extraction.
• Ability to use hand tools- long nose pliers, side cutter, and soldering iron.
• Maintain a clean work area

What We Look for in Soldering/Assembly Technicians:

• Ability to work individually and in a team setting
• Basic math skills and ability to compute measurements accurately
• Must have good hand/eye coordination and the ability to use microscopes
• Knowledge IPC 610/ 620, J-STD-001 certification preferred
• Attention to detail must be able to read and interpret blueprints
