EMC Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician to support the assembly, modification, and repair of electronic components and PCB assemblies in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with through-hole and SMT hand soldering.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferred.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand soldering and rework of electronic components, including through-hole and surface mount (SMT) parts
• Assemble and modify PCBs and cable assemblies per specifications; perform wire stripping, tinning, cable routing, and component placement
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate builds
• Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for quality and IPC compliance
• Troubleshoot and repair defective assemblies; conduct continuity testing and basic functional checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations; document work performed and keep accurate production records
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality goals
