Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Solderer I to perform hand soldering and IPC-A-610 inspections on the manufacturing floor in a fast-paced environment. You will handle routine assembly tasks, verify documentation, and ensure parts are placed and soldered correctly according to IPC standards.

The role requires basic math and PC skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adherence to 5S practices on the shop floor at our Auburn Hills facility.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Basic PC skills and Windows usage.

Responsibilities

• Verify workstation documentation is correct.
• Perform routine inspection and compare boards to drawings or data.
• Insert parts into circuit boards per documentation.
• Check placement accuracy and solderability per IPC-A-610 standards.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance and accept/reject as required.
• Label boards, fill process control cards, use barcode scanner and MES data entry.
• Audit material kits and MRO orders.
• Dispositions non-conforming materials.
• Maintain clean, organized work area per 5S guidelines; follow EH&S rules.
