Jabil is seeking a Solderer I to perform hand soldering and IPC-A-610 inspections on the manufacturing floor in a fast-paced environment. You will handle routine assembly tasks, verify documentation, and ensure parts are placed and soldered correctly according to IPC standards.
The role requires basic math and PC skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adherence to 5S practices on the shop floor at our Auburn Hills facility.

Performs inspection per IPC-A-610 standards, hand soldering operations, including minor solder repairs and standardized, repetitive electronic assembly operations.
Basic reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 8th grade level).
Basic PC skills required (i.e., keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows).
Standing may be required 100% of the time
Frequently required to walk, bend, lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
Close vision for observation of finished product, reading drawings, prints, visual aids etc. and extended use of a computer monitor screen
Safety glasses and steel toed shoes required on the manufacturing floor, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom and shipping areas.
Work area is on the Manufacturing floor
Noise level is normally moderate
Exposure to machinery with moving parts and high temperature surfaces
Occasional exposure to low dust/dirt and chemical fumes
