Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Solderer to perform high-quality soldering on complex builds. You will conduct surface mount and through-hole soldering, assist in assembly operations per specifications, and verify parts via first article checks.

The role requires clear communication and adherence to quality processes in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Candidates should have 2+ years of electronic soldering experience, strong math and basic computer skills, and the ability to interpret work orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electronic soldering experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and peers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Performs surface mount, thru-hole, jumperwire, micro-soldering and hand-soldering.
• Performs complex assembly operations per specifications and instructions.
• Performs first article checks to ensure BOM match and correct placement/polarity.
• Repair defects in line and enter defect data into CIQ system.
• Maintain daily logs and production tickets.
• Follow written directions and communicate with supervisor; keep area clean and organized.
