Job summary

Clearspan LLC is seeking a SolarWinds Administrator / Systems Engineer to manage and optimize the enterprise monitoring platform and supporting infrastructure. You will partner with NOC, Engineering, Development, Customer Operations, and Security to maximize service availability and visibility.

The role covers Windows and Linux server support, virtualization, cloud services, automation, and ongoing improvements in monitoring strategies across networks and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years administering SolarWinds in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of SNMP, WMI, ICMP, REST APIs, Syslog, NetFlow, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the administration, maintenance, upgrades, security, backups, and optimization of the SolarWinds platform.
• Configure and maintain NPM, SAM, NCM, NTA, IPAM, SCM, Orion Platform, and Additional Polling Engines.
• Develop monitoring standards, dashboards, reports, alerts, and executive operational views.
• Design monitoring strategies for networks, servers, virtualization, databases, cloud platforms, UCaaS applications, SIP infrastructure, and BroadWorks/BroadSoft environments.
• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Support VMware infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, storage, and server lifecycle management.
• Support production applications, coordinate upgrades, and develop monitoring templates for internally developed software.
• Develop PowerShell and/or Python automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support SOC 2, customer audits, and security hardening activities.
