Job summary

Steven Douglas Corp (SDC) seeks a Service Technician for Solar Test and Inspection Machines to travel locally in the Perrysburg, OH area, troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated equipment used in solar panel manufacturing. Occasional training trips to Concord, OH may be required.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical/electrical service, HVAC experience, and familiarity with automation hardware. Robotics knowledge is a plus; strong communication with customers is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated machinery or manufacturing systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose root causes.
• Experience servicing HVAC systems, heaters, environmental chambers, and electronic measurement equipment.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification preferred; HVAC experience and ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally between customer facilities to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized test equipment.
• Manage customer interactions during service visits.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics using schematics and manuals.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and calibrate HVAC systems, heaters, and measurement equipment.
• Support project teams and share feedback with engineering to improve designs.
