The AES Operations team is looking for a Solar Technician II. This position will cover assigned O&M activities associated with the solar PV sites and substations associated with the utility-scale Solar Energy Plants (Morris Solarworks project). located in Missouri. This individual would play a pivotal role in ensuring that AES CE operates the portfolio to standards that exceed industry best-practice. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and have the ability to build, train and lead other field personnel. As AES CE grows to become one of the leading IPPs in the industry, this role will provide an unparalleled opportunity for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and operations for solar PV sites and substations.
• Handle corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance.

Education and Experience

• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to commute daily to the site (US Hwy 63 and County Road 361 C, Kirksville, Missouri 63501)
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and using protective equipment.
• May work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals.
• Occasional lifting and working overtime or non-standard hours.
• Traveling up to 10% will be required, mainly to support operations in our Hardy Hills project in Indiana.
