RevoluSun Idaho is seeking a Solar Technical Service Specialist to lead the technical side of residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems. You will support field crews, operations, and customers with design review, troubleshooting and long‑term performance.

The role is based in Boise or Coeur d'Alene with remote consideration for the right candidate; DOE applies to compensation and career growth.”

Formación

• Build and maintain technical SOPs so knowledge stays with the team.

Location: Boise or Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (remote considered for the right candidate) | Full-Time | $65,000–$85,000/yr DOE

We're hiring a Solar Technical Service Specialist to be our go-to technical expert: the person our crews, operations team and customers rely on when a system needs a sharp eye or a real fix. If you know your way around Aurora and Tesla Powerhub, understand the NEC, and like solving the problems other people get stuck on, we want to talk to you.

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience with Aurora Solar
• Hands-on experience with Tesla Powerhub and Tesla Powerwall systems
• Strong understanding of PV and battery storage system design and the NEC

Nice to Have

• SolarEdge and Enphase experience (monitoring, troubleshooting, warranty claims)
• NABCEP certification
• AutoCAD experience
• Journeyman Electrician license (Idaho, Washington or Oregon)
• Electrical engineering education or experience

About the Role

As our Solar Technical Service Specialist, you'll own the technical side of our residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems, from design review through long-term performance. You'll be the technical resource for our field crews, project team and customers, and you'll make sure every system we install works the way it should.

This is a full-time position based out of our Boise or Coeur d'Alene office. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Serve as our lead technical resource for service: diagnose and resolve system issues across Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, SPAN and other platforms
• Monitor system performance in Tesla Powerhub and other monitoring platforms, and answer customer production and system questions
• Guide field crews through troubleshooting, commissioning and repairs
• Manage manufacturer warranty claims, RMAs and service work orders
• Review system designs in Aurora for code compliance, performance and installability
• Support plan sets and engineering submittals
• Build and maintain technical SOPs so knowledge stays with the team
• Give sales and operations technical input on new projects
• Provide excellent customer service and represent RevoluSun professionally

Customer Communication

• Be the technical voice customers hear when they have questions about their system, by phone and email
• Explain system performance, production, outages and repairs in plain language
• Walk customers through their monitoring apps (Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge) and how their system works
• Set clear expectations on service timelines, next steps and any costs, then follow through
• Respond to service requests promptly and keep customers updated until the issue is resolved
• Handle frustrated customers calmly and professionally, and escal when needed
• Document customer conversations so the whole team stays in the loop

What We're Looking For

• Proven electrical troubleshooting skills on PV and battery storage systems
• Working knowledge of the NEC as it applies to solar and storage
• Clear, professional communication with customers, crews and manufacturers
• Organized and self-directed, comfortable owning a queue of open issues and seeing each one through
• Dependable, communicative, team-oriented, and accountable
• Takes pride and ownership in quality work
• $65,000–$85,000 base salary, depending on experience
