Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Surveyor to perform survey and mapping of construction measurements and provide layout support across project stages. The role involves using Trimble GPS equipment, reading plans, and communicating findings with the team.

The candidate should have related construction experience and a valid driver’s license, with the ability to operate surveying equipment and work independently on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related construction experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level.
• Detail orientation and independence in work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment including base station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level.
• Care for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipment.
• Perform basic surveying computations and plan reading.
• Perform survey note taking.
• Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites.
• Guide new construction work through layout.
• Verify locations of structures.
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
