Job summary

Mortenson in the United States is seeking a Surveyor I to perform survey and mapping of construction measurements and provide layout support across all project stages. You will operate Trimble GPS equipment, perform field notes, verify structure locations, and collaborate with team members to ensure precise data and safe, efficient construction progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related construction experience.
• CTS level 1 or equivalent preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to operate surveying equipment (Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, laser level).
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment and related software.
• Care for and use surveying tools and equipment.
• Perform basic surveying computations and plan reading.
• Take survey notes and record field data.
• Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites.
• Guide new construction work through layout.
