Job Overview

Our client, an established and growing boutique renewable energy provider, is looking for a Solar Site Survey Support Specialist to support the company’s growing demand for residential solar installations. This person will be a key member of the solar operations team and will help support the sales, design, and installation functions by ensuring the efficient and timely completion of solar installations. This Solar Site Survey Support Specialist role is a full-time position with our client.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborating with site survey crews and reviewing site survey photos to provide feedback and guidance
• Assessing electrical systems via site survey photos and providing service recommendations
• Working closely with the design team to ensure solar designs align with and take into account site survey feedback
• Using tools such as AutoCAD and Aurora when needed to provide small revisions to proposals and plan sets
• Collaborating with internal and external solar installation crews to provide guidance from site survey photos
• Utilizing data collected by the site survey team and other divisions
• Assisting the permitting team with design submissions to utility companies
• Collaborating with sales teams to provide deliverables to potential customers

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Previous experience with solar design – AutoCAD or Aurora experience and flat roof design experience are a plus
• Previous experience with projects in and around New York City
• Strong knowledge of NEC
• The Solar Designer role is a full-time, permanent role with a yearly salary of $20,000 to $30,000
• Sick Leave, Vacation Leave, and Paid Holidays
