Job summary

STG Solar in Pisgah Forest, NC is seeking a Safety Technician to support safety programs on utility-scale solar projects. You will assist the Safety Manager to ensure OSHA and company policy compliance and promote a safe working environment through inspections and training.

Key duties include site audits, incident investigations, PPE oversight, and maintaining detailed safety records. You will collaborate with project teams and site supervisors to address hazards and implement corrective actions

Qualifications

Experience as safety technician or similar role, preferably in solar or electrical construction.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to construction sites.
Certifications such as OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 are a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.
Assist in the investigation and documentation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
Provide safety training and orientation for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety gear.
Maintain detailed records of safety activities, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident reports.
Assist in developing and implementing emergency action plans.
