Job summary

Carolina Solar Services, LLC in North Carolina seeks a Senior Solar Technician to lead field service operations for utility-scale solar facilities. You will supervise technicians, train juniors, and ensure safe, timely completion of service obligations.

You will troubleshoot, repair generators, perform maintenance, prepare Field Service Reports, and uphold high safety standards on job sites, including on-call weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record to operate a company vehicle.
• 3 years field experience in utility solar PV or 6 years of related experience.
• First-Aid/CPR/AED (preferred)
• NFPA 70E (preferred)
• OSHA 30 (preferred)
• OEM certified training on inverter systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators.
• Lead commissioning, quality assurance inspection, or preventative maintenance work as needed.
• Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to client.
• Provide on-the-job training to less experienced field staff, be a leader in safe and proper work practices.
• Perform vegetative maintenance as required.
• Ensure a premium level of customer service.
• Participate in weekend and holiday on-call schedule.
• Occasional overtime work and overnight travel required.
