Job summary

Signal Energy is seeking a Craft Safety professional for solar energy projects. This field-based role requires commuting to and from the project site in Murphysboro, IL, and reports to the Construction Manager.

You will promote safety culture, assist with daily safety paperwork, conduct site audits, manage PPE and inspections, and support toolbox talks while collaborating with the Safety Manager and project team to uphold Signal Energy’s safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 certification mandatory.
• 2 years of construction safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture on projects and represent the company professionally.
• Assist with daily paperwork: JSA, WI, permits and inspections.
• Complete weekly site audits and manage safety equipment inspections.
• Assist with issuing and distributing PPE to crews, as needed.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety trainings as needed.
• Learn installation processes and support site safety programs.
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager and project team to address safety needs.
• Ensure corrective actions align with Safety Policies and Procedures.
