Job summary

SunEnergy1 seeks a Safety Manager to enforce the Safety & Health Program across projects and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will administer site-specific safety training and lead investigations into incidents and near misses to drive preventive actions.

The role requires evaluating safety data, coordinating audits, and promoting a safe workplace for employees and subcontractors, with extensive travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety management.
• Ability to travel extended periods.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes for solar construction.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers, executes and continually improves the Safety and Health Program
• Manages inspections for safety and contract compliance
• Maintains safety metrics for the project
• Conducts safety data collection, reporting and trend analysis
• Leading complex incident investigations with root cause analysis
• Ensure records and documents are properly maintained
• Keep abreast of safety and environmental law changes
• Conduct site audits and safety observations
• Provide safety training to site staff
• Report safety trends to management
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned
