Trinity Solar is seeking a skilled Solar Service Technician to join our on-site team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize residential solar systems, educate customers, and ensure ongoing power delivery with safety and efficiency.

This role requires hands-on electrical knowledge and the ability to manage field schedules. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, experience with PV installations, and the stamina to climb roofs safely.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of PV installation or solar service experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read 3-line diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Familiarity with NEC codes.
• Excellent communication via phone, email, and in-person.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift 40+ lbs and work safely on residential rooftops.
• Candidates with related trades are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on residential solar electric systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair communication systems for solar inverters (cell cards, hard lines, LAN connections).
• Adapt quickly to last-minute schedule changes to handle urgent service calls.
• Manage daily appointments efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Interact with homeowners and team members, providing professional, courteous, and knowledgeable support.
• Document all service work with photos, detailed notes, and system updates.
• Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and replacements directly with inverter manufacturers.
• Maintain safety standards while working on rooftops and with electrical systems.
