Qualifications

• NEC knowledge is required.

• Residential electrical or solar experience is preferred but not required; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Install and service solar batteries and energy storage systems for new and retrofit projects.
• Perform electrical service upgrades, meter relocations, and residential electrical installations.
• Install solar equipment, wiring, and components per NEC and local codes.
• Provide technical support to service and installation teams as needed.
• Assist with jobsite prep, material staging, and equipment organization for safety and efficiency.
• Review project requirements to identify electrical or installation concerns.
• Maintain documentation of installations and service calls, including diagrams and notes.
• Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, and internal teams.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Follow all safety policies and vehicle operation standards.
• Assist with additional electrical, construction, or installation tasks as needed.

This is a hands-on role where you'll perform electrical service upgrades, utility meter relocations, and the installation of solar equipment, batteries, and wiring for residential PV systems. You'll work directly with customers, inspectors, and internal teams while ensuring every project meets our standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.

Compensation: $30 - $35 / hour

Duties / Responsibilities

• Install and service solar batteries and energy storage systems for both new customers and retrofit projects.
• Perform electrical service upgrades, utility meter relocations, and residential electrical installations.
• Install solar equipment, wiring, and related electrical components in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable local building codes, and company standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to service and installation teams when needed.
• Assist with jobsite preparation, material staging, and equipment organization to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
• Review project requirements and identify potential electrical or installation concerns before and during the work.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service calls, including photographs, wiring diagrams, site notes, and other required records.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, inspectors, and internal teams throughout the project.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and vehicle operation standards.
• Assist with additional electrical, construction, or installation-related tasks as needed.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required.
• State electrical license is not required; an active license is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with tools, wiring, and electrical equipment.
• Residential or solar electrical experience preferred, but not required; training is available for motivated candidates.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify appropriate solutions in the field.
• Professional and courteous communication skills when interacting with customers, inspectors, and team members.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in tight or confined spaces as required.
• Ability to safely follow electrical, construction, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.

Education and Experience

• Previous residential electrical, solar, construction, or related hands-on experience preferred, but not required.
• Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Electrical training, certifications, or apprenticeship experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors and on residential jobsites in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely work on ladders, roofs, and in tight or confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work with tools and equipment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle and maintain required driving standards.
