Job summary

Detail Solar is seeking a field technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain solar systems across various brands. You will diagnose inverter and module issues, handle repairs on systems we installed and others, and perform inspections with thorough client communication.

On-site visits involve roof work, use of hand tools, and clear explanations to homeowners. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Job description

Diagnose, repair, and maintain systems of any brand - including orphaned installs where the original company is gone. Troubleshooting with a calm head.

You spend your days on service calls - inverters that quit, underperforming arrays, monitoring alerts, and maintenance visits. A lot of Upstate systems were installed by companies that no longer answer the phone. We take those on. You document what you find, talk homeowners through it in plain language, and leave the system healthier than you found it.

Who tends to enjoy this

You like figuring out why something is not producing. Electrical or HVAC background is a plus. You are patient with homeowners and careful with live equipment.
