Job summary

Moss seeks a Solar Senior Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution on multi-state solar projects. You will supervise direct reports, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality control across the portfolio.

You will interface with project management and executives, manage budgets and schedules, and contribute to front-end design and pre-construction site visits. This is a high-travel, salaried role with multi-state responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 years' experience as General Superintendent on utility-scale solar projects.
• Journeyman or masters license (NASCLA or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire.
• STS-C Certification at a minimum, or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire.
• Experience with leading multiple direct reports and project teams.

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss\' Solar Senior Electrical Superintendents plan, schedule, organize and direct the construction of major solar projects. They are responsible for all field execution of the project. Senior superintendents typically will have several Superintendents as direct reports. Senior Superintendents are responsible for coordinating the timely and cost-effective placement of the contracted work. They supervise directly or through subordinates all field construction work by the company\'s forces and by the Subcontractors. They are responsible for all pertinent Safety and Quality Control policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage multiple utility scale solar projects

• Creation and monitoring of safety initiatives
• Help manage procurement and engineering schedule
• Support Electrical Superintendents in creation of project schedules
• Assist with scheduling shared resources
• Assist managing subcontracted resources across portfolio
• Coordinate with other departments for resource expectations (QC, commissioning, substation, etc.)
• Budget and schedule reporting
• Supports Project Executive in project change discussions
• Front end/design involvement
• Oversees internal design review and coordination
• Coordinate with Pre-Construction for site visits
• Estimate upcoming projects
• Interviewing and onboarding of new salaried personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor\'s in construction management, engineering or related field preferred
• 5 years\' experience as the General Superintendent on utility scale solar projects
• Journeyman or masters license (including NASCLA or other way to demonstrate proficiency in electrical best practices), or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire
• STS-C Certification at a minimum, or the ability to obtain within 6 months after hire
• Experience with multiple direct reports and an exceptional ability to lead and manage project teams is a necessity
