Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a commissioning professional to support network and communications pre-commissioning and hot commissioning at utility-scale solar projects across the United States.

The role is hybrid with on-site presence at job sites and partial remote work; location specifics will be discussed in interviews. You will perform pre- and post-test activities, coordinate with engineering, construction and QA teams, and produce detailed commissioning reports while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams (engineering, construction, QA, SCADA) for commissioning alignment.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests (performance, functional, reliability) of communications systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues to optimize SCADA/site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports with test results and corrective actions.
• Assist site commissioning personnel with Safety Tagging, Lockout & Work Permit procedures.
