Job summary

Atwell, LLC seeks experienced Right of Way Acquisition Specialists to support utility-scale solar projects across the Midwest, with a focus on Ohio. You will engage landowners, coordinate with project teams and title resources, and help negotiate easements and related documents through the acquisition process.

Ideal candidates hold an active Ohio Real Estate License and have prior ROW/land acquisition experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a willingness to travel across

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Real Estate License (Salesperson or Broker) required.
• Prior ROW/land acquisition experience and negotiation skills.
• Experience with solar/renewable energy or utility-scale projects preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in rural and field environments.
• Comfort coordinating with landowners, teams, title resources, and clients.
• Knowledge of property ownership research, deeds, easements, and real estate docs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Notary Public commission preferred or ability to obtain quickly.
• Willingness to travel across Midwest project areas.

Responsibilities

• Support right of way and land acquisition activities for utility-scale solar projects.
• Conduct landowner outreach and build relationships with owners and local stakeholders.
• Facilitate negotiations for easements, options, leases, and related docs.
• Support research on active or prior solar agreements and land control.
• Assist with online mapping, parcel review, ownership verification, and project tracking using GIS.
• Coordinate with project managers, title resources, survey teams, and client stakeholders.
• Review and maintain parcel, landowner, acquisition, deed, and project documentation.
• Assist with surface title, courthouse research, deed review, and ownership verification.
• Prepare, review, execute, and record land rights documents.
• Track landowner communications, progress, and parcel status in internal systems.
• Read maps and legal descriptions to explain project impacts to landowners.
• Support field activities, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and close-out docs.
• Travel throughout Ohio and Midwest areas as project needs require.
